Convert a pasted table to CSV

Copy cells from Excel or Google Sheets, paste them into CSVFix and download them as a CSV, without saving a file first.

Open CSVFix

How to do it

  1. Select the cells in Excel or Google Sheets and copy them.
  2. Paste them into the box on CSVFix. Copied cells arrive separated by tabs, which CSVFix detects automatically.
  3. Choose the Output delimiter you need, such as comma or semicolon.
  4. Click Download CSV, or Download Excel.

How it works

When you copy cells, spreadsheets put a tab between columns and a line break between rows. CSVFix reads that text as a table and writes it again with the delimiter you pick, adding quotes where values need them.

Questions

Is there a size limit?

Browsers handle very large pastes slowly. For big tables, save the file and drop it on the page instead.

Are formulas copied?

Only the displayed values are pasted, not the formulas.

Can I clean the data at the same time?

Yes. All the cleaning options apply to pasted tables too.
